Accepting and Affording Loss of hearing can be very tough

The life of people who have lost their hearing power is characterised by isolation and social anxiety. Loss of hearing power has become a very common problem now and there are many treatment options available. According to the Health Technology Assessment, most people can let it go for more than 10 years and help in solving hearing problem. The American Speech Language Hearing Association states that hearing loss has become the most invisible and insidious problem but only 1 out of 5 people seek for its remedy. 

Hearing problem can lead to some unintended consequence. The professional at the workforce does not help you to treat hearing loss and you won’t have to suffer financially.  They are not likely to get promotion that easily because of hearing problem. Such people become incapable of understanding and addressing to the communication strategies. Many health effects are associated with hearing problems. They are more likely to have depression and have high blood pressure. 

Hearing loss can also result in Alzheimer or dementia and it does not effect on the cognition. Since they can’t hear, they can’t participate in social events. Most of such people are not that thrilled as people usually are in any social events. They may face social stigma. Some people would like to hear loss may get treatment but may shy off due to their financial barriers. Even if people have health insurance, they can cover diagnosis but hearing loss cannot be covered by it.
