Vegetables are healthy and good for us in general, but the ones that are specially healthy are green vegetables. If you eat the right amount of green vegetables, it will keep us away from a lot of health issues.

For example spinach is really rich with nutritional content, and it doesn't have a lot of calories. We all remember Popeye, and how much he liked it. It certainly wasn't without a reason.

Spinach contains high level of oxygen sensitive phytonutrients. There is a lot of vitamin C, which helps protecting these nutrients.
It also has large amounts of vitamin K, which will help you maintain good bone health and will prevent you from getting osteoporosis.
Next one is Kale. This vegetable is coming from the cabbage family, and it offers you high amount of nutrition, and also has small amount of calories.

In case you have high cholesterol, kale is the perfect solution for you. If you want to use it in the best way possible, do not fry it, just boil it.
Kale is also good for five different types of cancer - for breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer and ovary cancer.
Turnip Greens is also very healthy, green vegetables. They have large amount of calcium, and it is also good for cancer prevention.
It contains high level of vitamin C, vitamin E and beta-carotene, and you it also has quercetin, myricetin, isorhamnetin, hydroxycinnamic acid and kaempferol.

If you don't like these vegetables, but you still want to consume them, because they are healthy, you can always make a smoothie, combine it with other fruit and vegetables.
